Table Bluff County Park, Humboldt Bay California

Table Bluff County Park is a jetty in Humboldt Bay and dogs are allowed on bay side but ocean side is Snowy Plover nesting habitat so dogs are only allowed on wave slope wet sand during nesting season.

Elk River Trail, Headwaters Forest Reserve, Humboldt County, California

Elk River Trail is paved the first mile through the abandoned timber town of Falk with signs pointing out remnants of the mill town.  The trail continues deeper and 5 miles to an old growth redwood grove and 5 miles back to trailhead parking lot.

Trinidad Head, Trinidad, Humboldt County, CA

Trinidad Head is a short hike with moderate incline and a couple fun short spurs with great views.

Mount Davidson, San Francisco, California

Short hike with great views of San Francisco, and a giant cross if you're into Jesus but mostly popular for great views since nobody really cares about Jesus anymore.

Clam Beach, Humboldt County, California

Clam Beach is expansive and dogs are allowed off leash on wet sand on the wave slope!  Nearby Moonstone County Park is also fun.

Glen Eden Trail, Lakeport, Lake County, California

A nice dog-friendly hike near Lakeport, California a bit strenuous with some steep climbs at first but then rewarded with some nice views at the top.  Can be very hot in summer so have plenty of water and sunscreen.
